A kiss I wished for coming true A kiss I wished for coming true When the day's too long For a Patience that's not strong Well a kiss I wished for coming true A song that I'll sing like I've never sung before A song I'll sing like I've never sung before When the day's too long For a Patience that's not strong A song I'll sing like I've never sung before From that school where I first met you To the top of Ingram Road I'll wait for you in Central Station Protect you from the Hesketh Cold For a wedding with no wedding dress You and me and a witness We don't need a witness A kiss I wished for for weeks coming true A heart that's as full as it's ever been before A heart that's as full as it's ever been before When this life goes by In the blinking of an eye A heart that's as full as it's ever been before

We're dancing at the Mecca It's gone now We're dancing the Gay Gordons It's gone now We're dancing at the Mecca It's gone now I'm here now with my best friends They're gone now Step one and I glide by I make damn sure that you see Step two this is just bliss To be swept up in your stride And the night was everything This is where we first met This dance floor Strange that I'm in black dress On this dance floor I came in through the front line Unnoticed With a boot lace as a neck tie For your kiss Step one and I glide by I make damn sure that you see Step two this is just bliss To be swept up in your stride And the night was everything Step three Oh well who'd tell That a half life would fly by Boutiques stand where we'd meet Now a half life has gone by

Bring me some moonlight And in these long nights We'll play all night on Dodgem Cars Bring me my sparkler Out on Woodhouse Moor We'll gather stars in bucketfuls We'll stroll, enrich our souls In 300,000 yards Then we can bless all gracelessness With the love of old Hyde Park We'll stroll enrich our souls In a green and pleasant land This city's mess can try its best 'gainst the might of old Hyde Park Did summer acquiesce To days of uselessness Play all night on dodgem cars And did we not roll Our drunken way back home To the roads and lanes of Headingley

I was born in Quarry Hill It's not there now but I love it still Oh we're putting in a pin I was born in the LGI Changed a life under Christmas sky Oh we're putting in a pin To remember...we're putting in a pin I lived a life on Carlton View Not much now but it's all I knew I start again on Bedford Street The smell of home now my freedom's free Oh Oh oh we're putting in a pin To remember...we're putting in a pin Pull down the blind and shut out the light Count out the stars that map out the sky Then count out the lives laid out below The places they've been We're putting in a pin Lay me down in Beckett Street Lay my bones where my family sleeps Take my heart on Meanwood Road Take my heart and I'll soon propose That we stay here, Where we're putting in a pin Pull down the blind and shut out the light Count out the stars that map out the sky Then count out the lives laid out below The places they've been We're putting in a pin

about

Bring the Happy is an ongoing project about happiness, an attempt to map our stories in all of their beautiful, sometimes tragic and occasionally mundane glory. Bring the Happy began in Leeds in 2010 where for two months people left their happy memories on a giant map of the city describing what the memory was, where it took place and how happy it made them on a scale of 1-10. The stories and songs on this album are from the people of Leeds who kindly entrusted us their memories and even though this is less than half of the complete show we still think it's kinda beautiful.

WARNING: Contains spoken word. Don't be scared.

Bring the Happy continues to grow from city to city and belongs to all the people that have participated in it. It is touring throughout 2013 and beyond. For upcoming dates and more info go here: www.invisibleflock.co.uk/bringthehappy

This project is a collaboration between Invisible Flock and Hope and Social. One of these is an interactive arts collective and the other one is Invisible Flock.

As always the album is Pay What You Think it's Worth. You can download for free and we heartily encourage you to do that and share it with your friends. As always though we encourage you to think about what value art had to you and remember that whatever money you choose to pay helps to make this music.

about

Hope and Social Leeds

In the tradition of the travelling bands, we guess we’re a bit like a Yorkshire E-Street Band...meets Arcade Fire...meets The Faces…meets Dexys Midnight Runners…meets Prefab Sprout…at a party...in an argument about who gets to have sex with David Bowie. We're not as good at describing ourselves as others are, so...
