about

In July 2015 Durham BRASS Festival asked us to collaborate with the marvellous New York Brass Band for 6 gigs across the North East; the "Big BRASS Bash".

It's not often we meet any set of musicians who appear more chaotic than us, but NYBB managed it! Supported at every gig by some of the best Street Brass Bands in Europe we had an absolute blast. More running and dancing than you can possibly imagine! There was certainly a lot more dancing than playing! It really was like funmageddon.

In between hangovers and intense physiotherapy sessions we managed to squeeze out some creativity and write the first 2 songs on this little mini ep and also do this very special arrangement of Drink the Drink off our first album. These rough and ready live recordings are totally free to download and share. Hope you get a little of the vibe...

Hope and Social Leeds

In the tradition of the travelling bands, we guess we’re a bit like a Yorkshire E-Street Band...meets Arcade Fire...meets The Faces…meets Dexys Midnight Runners…meets Prefab Sprout…at a party...in an argument about who gets to have sex with David Bowie. We're not as good at describing ourselves as others are, so...
